Our own horse
Posted on August 15th, 2010 No commentsOn the Eurocheval we saw him for the first time and have fallen in love immediately. Orage, a French cart horse of the race Trait Auxious, 8 years old. A wonderful animal. And so we make a trip of 1100 km to visit Orage in Burgund, France. Many people would think we are crazy but really? A colleauge from me said: If you want something, than you do a lot of crazy things - and it works!
As soon as we arrived the stud there we were received immediately warmly by the president of the union. Pierre led us around the corner of the open and friendly stable and there he stood already. Orage.
First he was ridden of a girl (I think Aurelle) which looks after him every day. Then I might also make a test ride and I was inspired. A supercomfortable step, a very lively trot and the gallop which I myself did not try out for the first time being looked also great. He reacted easily and was very quietly, in short said: The horse!
Very fast was clear for me and Steffen: Orage has not disappointed us, he is the right horse for us!. So all business one was removed and then we sat with a glass of wine with Pierre, the translator and some employees together and spoke about everything and anything. Unfortunately, for Aurelle it was difficult that Orage was sold now and she was very sad about this. But we insured to send photos of Orage.
And now I have to organise a lot. The stable, saddle, snaffle, transport etc. and at the middle of September this wonderful horse will come to us.
We can hardly expect it.

Judgement
Posted on August 11th, 2010 No commentsVery often I ask myself for the cause of this society today in Germany. In general I think that the negatives of the world are based on a fact: Judgement.
A child also comes the world and finds everything first of all great or neutral. It is curious, want everything to explore, get to know everything. And if something doesn’t taste very good, the child don’t want to eat it again, that’s it. The child doesn’t judge the meal.
However, then there comes the coinage. “Do not run down this”, “This is bad”…. The environment provides for every person that there is the bad as well as good. And what is valid as bad, it is determined socially. In many countries something is valid as a property, in others against it than badly. At national courts one can see always very good. If we take once Iceland, because we fly the next days there. A national court is inlaid testicles in sour milk. I and many Germans ask themselves like one can eat such a thing. The Icelanders maybe ask themselves how one can eat sauerkraut or smoked ham.
In India cows are holy, here we eat them and and and…
It is given by the society in which one grows up a certain social construct from good and bad. Partially these “rules” rise fear, feeling of guilt and depression in the people. Why? Because someone feel the urge to do something and the construct of bad and good from the society say to him that this is bad. Not to work every day is bad, to travel all around the world is not neccessary etc. Many people give up their dreams because the fear the judgement of other people. The reputation of them could be damaged. And so people go to work and are frustrated, because they want many other things. A book write, around the world travel etc.
The judmengt we earn and the judmengt we give are our chain which hold us from a free life. I also know these chains, very well and it costs a little courage to remove them.
We want to buy big horse horse whom we have seen on a horse fair. I do not tell my parents it, why? Because I know how immediately on the mother’s side is judged. And not in a positive way. A friend of me started immediatly with judgments of the society consciously. “Isn’t it to much for you to handly? Where want you to accommodate it then? What do you do when you go on vacation? Why do you take no horse from next door? …..”
I am sure that she don’t know why she said all of this typical judgements. She had a pony which was, for the society judgment, to small for her to ride. But they both had really a lot of fun and she loved to ride with this small pony through the area.
We must try to decrease judgements. Judge others and more important, yourself, not so often in the future. Ask yourself as soon as a doubt rise in you, why you have this thoughts. What’s the reason for a fear? That your reputation could be damaged?
Don’t you have the right to life your own life as you want it?
Steffen told me a good quote today from Henry Ford:
“There are less people them there fail than those who capitulate” - Henry Ford

firefly
Posted on July 3rd, 2010 No commentsYesterday we had barbeque after a hot day in Germany. It was late and we had a very nice conversation with each other. Then it was dark and we saw a firefly. I didn’t see such a beautifull and fascinating animal before. I heard about it and saw it on TV but in real, no. And immediatly we were silent to observe this wonderfull little animal.
The human beings produce many artificial light, but that’s all nothing compared with this green light from the firefly. It was a very impressive encounter.

Saving of a black bird
Posted on July 2nd, 2010 No commentsThis morning we sat for the breakfast comfortably in the garden, as Steffen discovered in the neighbouring garden a blackbird who had got involved in the net of the raspberry. We immediately had got up and after I had asked with the neighbours briefly around permission, we are in the garden. The poor bird has totally got caught in the net and has wrapped the net already in the plumage. The bird can’t free himselft alone. We cut off a piece and tried to free the black bird from the net. Unfortunately, the blackbird has escaped occasionally and sit now under the currant. Steffen observes the little one now a little, perhaps it gets to release the rest of the net independently, otherwise we will have to catch the bird probably again.

Take a break
Posted on June 5th, 2010 No commentsOur guinea pigs are really very good teachers to live particularly with regard to the kind. While outdoors on this Saturday already again all pensioners make her lawn mowers ready to be launched and also the remaining population tries to work a little bit, one can go well the guinea pigs and simply rest. It is also difficult for me very much, however, just in thus nice weather, nevertheless, we should on occasion simply make sometimes a break and scoop a little energy.

Palmengarden - part 1
Posted on May 2nd, 2010 No commentsYesterday, on the 1st of May, we went to Frankfurt to visit the nice palmgarden. Me and Steffen were glad on the many exotic plants and the rich colouring. Unfortunately, the mood was quite strained before we were there. Since in Frankfurt a bicycle running took place on the 1st of May and all streets were simply blocked without diversion signs. Thus we wandered 3/4 hours by Frankfurt (many thanks to the town for this great organisation!) and held, finally, before a police car. We had enough. Behind us stood suddenly 4 other cars which also rushed at the nice policeman in the car. Then he explained to me how we could find, nevertheless, still in the palm garden and 10 minutes later we reached our aim.
Nevertheless, the mood brightened fast again, because the palm garden is really worthwhile. Cactuses, tropical plants, palms, a liverwurst tree, rhododendron bushes and a wonderful lake. And many many geese and ducks who were very trusting.
In short, nevertheless, it still became a wonderful day and the trouble has obviously been worthwhile. Since nothing the material can emit so much joy and deep blessedness like these blaze of colour of the nature.

Poem from Shakespeare
Posted on April 12th, 2010 No commentsSpring
When daisies pied, and violets blue,
And lady-smocks all silver-white,
And cuckoo-buds of yellow hue
Do paint the meadows with delight,
The cuckoo then, on every tree,
Mocks married men, for thus sings he:
‘Cuckoo!
Cuckoo, cuckoo!’ O word of fear,
Unpleasing to a married ear.
When shepherds pipe on oaten straws,
And merry larks are ploughmen’s clocks,
When turtles tread, and rooks, and daws,
And maidens bleach their summer smocks,
The cuckoo then, on every tree,
Mocks married men, for thus sings he:
‘Cuckoo!
Cuckoo, cuckoo!’ O word of fear,
Unpleasing to a married ear.William Shakespeare

decoration for spring
Posted on March 28th, 2010 No commentsA lot of people like it to decorate their house with nice charactere for spring or winter, christmas and so one. We are not the people who decorate our house a lot, but a few days ago we found such nice sheeps and chick that we bought it. And now they stand on our windows and we have to smile as soon as we look at them.

Different culture
Posted on March 6th, 2010 No commentsSometimes I talk with an Indonesian about our different cultures, the countries and so on.
Besides, I came with the Indonesian on the subject old people to speak. A morning before I was wondering how disgruntled and embitters the old people in Germany are. Nobody laughs, although they drive their big car (mostly with a star) and have all time of the world. No, they yammern and rail against others and are churlish. Since the old people convulsively looking for attention also do not shrink back to attract the attention in negative manner to themselves. For example they drive with the bus on 1 p.m when a lot of students and pupils travel home with bus. And then the old people, who have all day to drive with bus, rail against the students and pupils.
Or they go to discounter at 7 p.m. Since at this time still a lot of stressed working persons do their purchase and must count on the fact that a pensioner stands in the way and jostle in front of the cash desk.
So I have told the Indonesian once that our pensioners must not work from 65 years any more. This has totally surprised him first of all. “If you don’t work, you have nor money, equal how old you are.” - he explained me. He had totally been surprised at our pension system and then has believed that our pensioners had to be very happy and contented people, because, finally, they would have to follow the whole day time their hobbies and interests.
Well, when I cleared him up that just the opposite is mostly the case and has described to him some examples he was absolutely nonplussed and had to fight still with this fact probably the whole day.
“These are very unthankfull people, because if our old people had free, they would estimate every day and celebrate and owe their young person for the fact that they make this possible.”
Please, does not misunderstand me, I absolutely know pensioner who are happy and use their spare time “sensibly” and do, finally, this what they wanted the whole life long. Or are just grateful. But I see these old people rarer like the other, disgruntled and bitter group. The guilt lies not only with them, but first once everybody itself is responsible for his life. And if one is unfriendly and gets angry about the youth, one must not surprise if this no respect for the old people has.
Maybe we should make clear ourselves on occasion once how well we have it, actually. Instead of crying about everything and getting angry.

The value of a human being
Posted on February 11th, 2010 No commentsOn given occasion the misinterpretation of the “value” becomes more conscious by me. The following situation has led me to the following knowledge: Study 7th semestre, business management. Of all ambitious student, everybody well then them has created it up to the end. The exam results are announced and a student receives a mark which she agree with it. When she hears that another student who was in her opinion much worse than herself has a better mark, she is angry at it.
If she had not known that the other is better, she would not have been angry and herself the evening-spoilt.In the west the value of a person is measured first in the marks, later in the occupation and within the occupation in the salary. Figures always determine the value of a person. And these will award from other people on account of tests, check, achievement proofs and personal predilections.
However, is this really the value of a person? Is the 1st pupil more “worth”, therefore, than the 3rd pupil? What does this mark state about the person in himself, his character, his being?
Not a lot. We everybody know examples of rich people, the tyrants or choleric persons are and bring to the humanity nothing good. We know “poor” people who earn not a lot, were not well at school, however, for others are there. Who is more worth now?
Is a egoistic manager more worth than a good father of a family who works on the tape? Is a doctor more worth than a nurse?
The true value of a person deals nothing with the stamps imposed by us like marks or salary allocations. If it also is not able at all, because each of us is unique, has other aims in the life and other images. One would like to make career in a big company and earn a lot of money, the other is happy than fisher.
Every person has an individual value which is to be compared to no other person. One can compare himself only with himself and with nobody other. Most people forget this, but for us to the west educated people is also such a thing difficult to understand. We are trimmed, finally, from 6 years on figures and imposed, standardised values.
I know this well to have to be this ambition, this pressure and compulsion, always the best. I was the same up to the beginning of the study. But it brings nothing. Of course one can push himself and bring far it be “successful” in the social sense. Whether one is happy with 60 hours of job, a big car, house etc. then, is doubtful. Namely really happily. Not the feeling of happiness that our ego auditions to us.
Think about it. And discover your true value.

See the strenght in each other…
Posted on January 21st, 2010 No commentsThough every person has a message for us no matter whether we see this same or not. Finally, the other is a mirror for us and point out our weaknesses or strengths and promote our personal growth. Nevertheless, now and again it is advisable to keep away from unpleasant people, until one is wide enough to learn the lessons from these people.
In the circle of friends or friend’s circle this falls lighter. Finally, everybody can freely choose with whom he would like to be friends or not.
In the occupation we see this a little different. Often we must work in a team, if we like the other team members or not. Just it falls to many with closer relatives like parents, uncle, aunt, grandpa etc. heavier to say them clearly her mind or to go for them also clearly from the way.
If one finds the new boss unlikeable, it is mostly to be tried also difficultly the unsympathy by elusiveness.
Also I have some people in my life with whom I rather did not want to deal or so often together be like it must be by the circumstances. Often we have work or family, strong dogmas which do not permit us to go for the people in the informal or business sphere from the way. Here the tip of Mr. Kurt Tepperwein has helped me very much.
“Find in each person a little bit sympathetically.”
If you search something that you find good in towards. Is it his business achievement, his clothes style, his car, his eyes, no matter what it is. Only one small thing and concentrate you on this. You will see that this already absorbs the negative oscillation a little.
Please try it and find a little bit great in the other person all the time. You have a selfish boss? Maybe you find his achievement notable, or his urge for many plants in the office. You have an irritating aunt? If you think something in her that you find good and mean it really honestly. Since only the oscillation can change. But it is a powerful instrument to dam negative oscillations compared with another.
I try it every day and am surprised how well it functions. By the way, you can also try it with yourself. If you have a bad day and everything goes wrong in your opinion, then you make clear to yourself some points which you find fantastically in yourself (and everybody have qualities and abilities which are unique and magnificent!).
Try it and see which result you became.

Rules and Rituals
Posted on June 26th, 2009 No commentsMe and Steffen had a quite interesting, also not completely neutral discussion on church, Buddhismus, rituals and rules in our life and I would like to give some my thoughts to you.
We all have “rituals” of most diverse kind in our life. And I agree to Steffen that these rules and rituals have shown us a certain direction particularly when we have been a child. As long as they are a certain noncommittal framework they are also quite meaningful and even necessary in my eyes.
But unfortunately a wide variety of rules are pushed upon you as a child, which are in no way in alignment with what the particular one wishes from the inside. E.g.: very soon it disturbed me to go to the church each Sunday, whether I had the desire or not. Every time this hour was terrible for me and I only waited for it to pass by quickly. So the whole thing didn’t had anything positive for me. Another one, who goes voluntarily to the church each Sunday, experiences more positive out of it naturally.
And I think this is also an important point: As long as rituals and rules, which came from the outside, align with yourself or fit at least very well, is a marvelous thing; because one can draw also very much power from such rituals and rules, because they provide a certain objective.
But particular rules which come from the outside and which do not feel well and aligned with yourself, should be given up in my opinion and replaced by own “rules”.
Certain basic conditions for a society are surely useful, since they all provide a direction and help us unconscious humans to not aimlessly stray. But the more conscious one becomes, the more he knows about the sense and the goals in life. Then one does not need the auxiliary rules of the society any longer, if they appear not further useful to him.
So then one has the free choice. Is this rule of the others helpful for me? If “yes” this is totally okay also if it is not helpful and being replaced by own rules.
Thus I do not mean that each and everyone can just do what he wants, because it is to differentiate here out of which mental condition he acts. If one is a conscious human being then he will never limit any other being in any possible way even though remaining perfectly faithful and truthful to himself. For which reason should he think and act this way?
This becomes problematic only with unconscious humans, that is humans with massive, strong ego. But I am not talking about such human beings here.
Ultimately everyone may select freely during his lifetime here on earth which is correct for him and which is not. As long as he is unconscious he will perceive that which thinks and does the majority as the “correct” way. But rules, religions, rituals etc., which have been created by someone else, can align only partially with us though. This is because of the fact that we are all individual. And a rule which is helpful to one human being to 100% could be helpful to the other one only up to 30% though, because he has completely different tasks and preferences.
Walking wakefully and fully aware through life, staying open for the new and remain faithful to yourself, this is what I believe is the highest of all arts.

The beginning…
Posted on March 17th, 2009 1 commentWhat is life all about?
My journey began at some point in life where I experienced more and more dissatisfaction creeping into my daily routine. This was not a situation I’d liked and I’d thought about my situation and looked for solutions to find out how to regain joy and happiness again. I started asking myself: Why am I here and what is it all about? What is life really about?
Having thought about this point over and over again, I began realizing that every day I walk through my life I experience people having the same issue. When I looked into their faces, listened to their words, I found the same question about the core of it all on an unconscious level. It seemed like a deep inner search for true living, in joy and happiness and being completely satisfied.
So I became curious, bought my first books which I hoped could give me some answers (I have always been an enthusiastic reader of books), and the more I read, I ended up with more and more questions. Obviously I had started on a journey which leads me to undiscovered land: The true potential of the ourselves and the wise use of it to create the life that I want.
What first hit me like a hammer was the conscious realization that I have lived my life totally unconsciously, driven by thoughts, words and actions of others. Today I can state that this has been the first essential step, because in becoming aware of going through my life like a sleepwalker, I have been given the great gift of changing the way I think, search for solutions and getting the rudder back into my hands. This has been such a great experience, so I proceeded like being driven by an unknown inner force, getting more and more curious and I began exploring and discovering the great mystery that we call life. What a journey as I am experiencing it along the way! It doesn’t took long before the answer to my question, “what is it all about?”, came up inside of me: A journey that is meant to be enjoyed along the way! Wow, this was mind-blowing! And it still is…..

Conversations about life
Posted on March 15th, 2009 No commentsWelcome curious people!
This is a section where I’d like to discuss and share all our insights about life and how we can implement these into our daily living. Like many people I am thinking about life and its mysteries so often to come to a point of deep understanding, so this is the beginning of a conversation full of joy and wisdom about ourselves and our mission in life. Enjoy!
