Care for your skin and pamper yourself

Today, Im celebrating that we are moving “into the light” here in Sweden. Its finally summertime on sunday. What a relief and joy of the returning of the light, and long walks in the woods with my dog, Mr Owen.

It has been quite a winter this year with tempetures dropping down to minus 13 degrees and lots of snow. Im all so grateful for the seasons, but Im also welcoming spring very much. Who doesnt?

So, this calls for a makeover in the tub with a macic and oh, so much fun, Mudbath!! To Spring!

Personally, I do this ritual, every week, its a great deep cleanser and detoxifier for my whole body and hair,-Au Natural. The rest of the week needs only some “easy showers” to maintain fresh, with a mild soap or remaining clay.

You need:

One part Rhassoul clay, Two parts hot water and a bowl. Let it soak for a minute and pour away excessive water. Done and ready to use.

Wet your skin before using and never leave to dry.

My path to natural treatment…

Yesterday, I finally had my hair cut by a nice college of mine. Oh, it has been at least six months ago, since the last time:) It is quiet at the salon, and the weather here in Sweden probably had something to do with it. It has been snowing again. Good for me, my hair turned out healthy looking.

As a hairdresser for many years, the occupation brings you all kinds of clients and their different personalities and styles. It is  stimulating work most of the time. Creative. Yet I found myself not fully satisfied with the business and with a burning desire for making a difference for preserving our nature I went back to school, a few years ago to find alternative to all the harsh chemicals I was working with, at the time.

Nature had invited me to go a different way. And boy am I glad I did. To this date there is only one natural hair school in the world!!, located in the beautiful countryside of the southern parts of Sweden. Im proud of being a pioneer. I have come in contact with all these humble men and women that share my views and knowledge. To make a difference together and to grow, to become more and spread our message. While back in natural hair school I was introduced to becoming more aware of the earth we live on as well what that means for us humans, in our daily lifes. And to us hairdressers that are fed up with the chemicals that pollute us and makes us sick.
