Our own horse
Posted on August 15th, 2010 No commentsOn the Eurocheval we saw him for the first time and have fallen in love immediately. Orage, a French cart horse of the race Trait Auxious, 8 years old. A wonderful animal. And so we make a trip of 1100 km to visit Orage in Burgund, France. Many people would think we are crazy but really? A colleauge from me said: If you want something, than you do a lot of crazy things - and it works!
As soon as we arrived the stud there we were received immediately warmly by the president of the union. Pierre led us around the corner of the open and friendly stable and there he stood already. Orage.
First he was ridden of a girl (I think Aurelle) which looks after him every day. Then I might also make a test ride and I was inspired. A supercomfortable step, a very lively trot and the gallop which I myself did not try out for the first time being looked also great. He reacted easily and was very quietly, in short said: The horse!
Very fast was clear for me and Steffen: Orage has not disappointed us, he is the right horse for us!. So all business one was removed and then we sat with a glass of wine with Pierre, the translator and some employees together and spoke about everything and anything. Unfortunately, for Aurelle it was difficult that Orage was sold now and she was very sad about this. But we insured to send photos of Orage.
And now I have to organise a lot. The stable, saddle, snaffle, transport etc. and at the middle of September this wonderful horse will come to us.
We can hardly expect it.

Judgement
Posted on August 11th, 2010 No commentsVery often I ask myself for the cause of this society today in Germany. In general I think that the negatives of the world are based on a fact: Judgement.
A child also comes the world and finds everything first of all great or neutral. It is curious, want everything to explore, get to know everything. And if something doesn’t taste very good, the child don’t want to eat it again, that’s it. The child doesn’t judge the meal.
However, then there comes the coinage. “Do not run down this”, “This is bad”…. The environment provides for every person that there is the bad as well as good. And what is valid as bad, it is determined socially. In many countries something is valid as a property, in others against it than badly. At national courts one can see always very good. If we take once Iceland, because we fly the next days there. A national court is inlaid testicles in sour milk. I and many Germans ask themselves like one can eat such a thing. The Icelanders maybe ask themselves how one can eat sauerkraut or smoked ham.
In India cows are holy, here we eat them and and and…
It is given by the society in which one grows up a certain social construct from good and bad. Partially these “rules” rise fear, feeling of guilt and depression in the people. Why? Because someone feel the urge to do something and the construct of bad and good from the society say to him that this is bad. Not to work every day is bad, to travel all around the world is not neccessary etc. Many people give up their dreams because the fear the judgement of other people. The reputation of them could be damaged. And so people go to work and are frustrated, because they want many other things. A book write, around the world travel etc.
The judmengt we earn and the judmengt we give are our chain which hold us from a free life. I also know these chains, very well and it costs a little courage to remove them.
We want to buy big horse horse whom we have seen on a horse fair. I do not tell my parents it, why? Because I know how immediately on the mother’s side is judged. And not in a positive way. A friend of me started immediatly with judgments of the society consciously. “Isn’t it to much for you to handly? Where want you to accommodate it then? What do you do when you go on vacation? Why do you take no horse from next door? …..”
I am sure that she don’t know why she said all of this typical judgements. She had a pony which was, for the society judgment, to small for her to ride. But they both had really a lot of fun and she loved to ride with this small pony through the area.
We must try to decrease judgements. Judge others and more important, yourself, not so often in the future. Ask yourself as soon as a doubt rise in you, why you have this thoughts. What’s the reason for a fear? That your reputation could be damaged?
Don’t you have the right to life your own life as you want it?
Steffen told me a good quote today from Henry Ford:
“There are less people them there fail than those who capitulate” - Henry Ford

firefly
Posted on July 3rd, 2010 No commentsYesterday we had barbeque after a hot day in Germany. It was late and we had a very nice conversation with each other. Then it was dark and we saw a firefly. I didn’t see such a beautifull and fascinating animal before. I heard about it and saw it on TV but in real, no. And immediatly we were silent to observe this wonderfull little animal.
The human beings produce many artificial light, but that’s all nothing compared with this green light from the firefly. It was a very impressive encounter.

Saving of a black bird
Posted on July 2nd, 2010 No commentsThis morning we sat for the breakfast comfortably in the garden, as Steffen discovered in the neighbouring garden a blackbird who had got involved in the net of the raspberry. We immediately had got up and after I had asked with the neighbours briefly around permission, we are in the garden. The poor bird has totally got caught in the net and has wrapped the net already in the plumage. The bird can’t free himselft alone. We cut off a piece and tried to free the black bird from the net. Unfortunately, the blackbird has escaped occasionally and sit now under the currant. Steffen observes the little one now a little, perhaps it gets to release the rest of the net independently, otherwise we will have to catch the bird probably again.

Take a break
Posted on June 5th, 2010 No commentsOur guinea pigs are really very good teachers to live particularly with regard to the kind. While outdoors on this Saturday already again all pensioners make her lawn mowers ready to be launched and also the remaining population tries to work a little bit, one can go well the guinea pigs and simply rest. It is also difficult for me very much, however, just in thus nice weather, nevertheless, we should on occasion simply make sometimes a break and scoop a little energy.

Palmengarden - part 1
Posted on May 2nd, 2010 No commentsYesterday, on the 1st of May, we went to Frankfurt to visit the nice palmgarden. Me and Steffen were glad on the many exotic plants and the rich colouring. Unfortunately, the mood was quite strained before we were there. Since in Frankfurt a bicycle running took place on the 1st of May and all streets were simply blocked without diversion signs. Thus we wandered 3/4 hours by Frankfurt (many thanks to the town for this great organisation!) and held, finally, before a police car. We had enough. Behind us stood suddenly 4 other cars which also rushed at the nice policeman in the car. Then he explained to me how we could find, nevertheless, still in the palm garden and 10 minutes later we reached our aim.
Nevertheless, the mood brightened fast again, because the palm garden is really worthwhile. Cactuses, tropical plants, palms, a liverwurst tree, rhododendron bushes and a wonderful lake. And many many geese and ducks who were very trusting.
In short, nevertheless, it still became a wonderful day and the trouble has obviously been worthwhile. Since nothing the material can emit so much joy and deep blessedness like these blaze of colour of the nature.

Poem from Shakespeare
Posted on April 12th, 2010 No commentsSpring
When daisies pied, and violets blue,
And lady-smocks all silver-white,
And cuckoo-buds of yellow hue
Do paint the meadows with delight,
The cuckoo then, on every tree,
Mocks married men, for thus sings he:
‘Cuckoo!
Cuckoo, cuckoo!’ O word of fear,
Unpleasing to a married ear.
When shepherds pipe on oaten straws,
And merry larks are ploughmen’s clocks,
When turtles tread, and rooks, and daws,
And maidens bleach their summer smocks,
The cuckoo then, on every tree,
Mocks married men, for thus sings he:
‘Cuckoo!
Cuckoo, cuckoo!’ O word of fear,
Unpleasing to a married ear.William Shakespeare

We are not the people who decorate our house a lot, but a few days ago we found such nice sheeps and chick that we bought it. And now they stand on our windows and we have to smile as soon as we look at them.
